Still good
Gee, it's been a little bit since I wrote in my "journal" here. Been really busy. I feel like, for the most part, I'm riding on top of the world. It's just a peace inside and a renewal. BW: the reason for the existence of this blog is not to entertain other people. It's for my own journal, and so I have a record to look back on. If those I gave access to want to read this, it's up to them.
I've gotten back into a regular workout routine. I use my hour lunch break at work to go to the onsite gym. I do circuit weight training 3 times a week and treadmill and bike twice a week.
Then I come home and get on the treadmill here at my apartment complex. ( most days)
Getting stronger. Still a ways to go, but it's a good start. Was tough getting back into a regular routine.
My clothes are already fitting better. I dropped a pant size in my business slacks. ( Thankfully I have 3 sizes in my closet! ) And my jeans are comfortable now, I don't feel like my flab is busting out all over. My goal is to lose 20 lbs more and get down one more pant size and shirt size in all my clothes.
I'm so happy and proud of myself: I completed and filed my tax returns last night: Jan. 25. I really wanted to get a jump start this year. As I expected, I am getting a nice refund thanks to starting my business with World Ventures. Woohoo!!!
My strategy this year was to have all my stuff gathered together and ready first week of January. Then got Turbo tax home and business, plugged in all the #'s based on my last paycheck of 2007. Yesterday my work posted our W-2's for us to login and see online. So I did that and entered those numbers into my already prepared tax return and voila!!
Should have my refund by Feb. 8th. That is going to enable me to attend the World Ventures National Convention in Las Vegas in March and put some in savings. Can't wait!!
Also this month, I figured out a way to clear my credit card debts and avoid chapter 13 bankruptcy. I' m sooooo relieved about that. I was able to negotiate a significantly better arrangement with the 2 companies myself than the attorney I hired. So I "fired" her, am getting a refund of my retainer, and those debts will be free and clear by next Friday. Thank you GOD!!!
See, this year really is a fresh start for me in several ways!
Ok, it's Saturday morning. Time to go to the gym here. Then Dad is coming at noon and we are going to spend the afternoon together just the two of us. We do much better without his wife around. I'm taking him for a scenic drive and walks up South Mountain park.
